*** The sound itself is not my work. All I did was copy it from my tape to the computer to a CD then ripped the tracks so they could be heard here. Oh, and I made up the names of the songs cuz I thot they needed them. Except Mushroom. Since it was self-titled.
| This is my first attempt at mastering a CD on my computer. And I've over-played the source tape over the years so in addition to its analogicity there's some bumps along the way.
I plan on re-encoding it off the tape sometime soon and hopefully do a little remixing and normalizing to clean up the hiss and whatever else. Also I wanna figure out if I can make the tracks overlap each other so track 5 ends just after track 6 starts and track 6 starts just before track 5 ends. You'll see what I mean after you listen.
It's best heard straight thru. Takes about 45 minutes. Pot recommended but not required. |
| As far as I know, Prostitute Soup III is the work of "The" Damien Pratt along with some of his friends. I can only positively identify Billy Villano by ear in #18 on the fone. I wanna say Mike Soriero had something to do with this too. And Jeff Kioski, if for nothing else than his "self-titled poem" Mushroom, read by Damien. |
| The titles listed below are totally made up by me and if anyone knows what they really are, please correct me. Oh, and if you've bumped into Damien, could you have him contact me? Even if it's to say "Fred-Frank, take down those awful tracks!" Thanks. |
| -- Fred-Frank (really Frank Johnson but those guys could never get anything right.) ratty@they.org |
| UPDATE: I did finally get in touch with Damien, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't bug him anyway. |
| And the band played on... You can find some of Damien's other older work at Trolley-Bus. |
| Currently, Damien is a member of The Squeaky Fromme. You can pick up their CD at CD Baby. I've not heard it yet so I can't comment, but you should buy it anyway. |

I recommend starting with #5 if you just want a taste. And then #21. Playlist file for XMMS or Winamp.
